100 Helping Hands Programme

The Covid-19 crisis has brought unprecedented challenges to local communities all around the world. The TUI Care Foundation’s relief initiative ‘100 Helping Hands’ supports people in holiday destinations affected by the pandemic, providing urgently needed aid to underprivileged communities.

The travel and tourism sector has been particularly affected by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and it’s been especially difficult for the people whose livelihoods depend on tourism. To fight this, the TUI Care Foundation initiated the 100 Helping Hands programme to support local communities in holiday destinations during the current emergency situation.

The programme supports local aid organisations to help respond effectively to the needs of local communities in destinations. Areas of action include hygiene training, home schooling and childcare as well as the distribution of emergency food parcels and healthcare items, such as masks, for disadvantaged families.
