TUI Futureshapers Zanzibar is working with two young leaders to create a new social innovation academy, named the Hazina Innovation Academy.

Together with its also newly founded sister-institution in Cape Verde, Hazina provides personal development and purpose-discovery training and life coaching to 100 young entrepreneurs.

The project fosters personal and professional transformation in participants, equipping them with the skills to run social or environmental enterprises. It encourages the creation of self-organised social enterprises, which continue to operate and create impact after the project ends. Communities become financially self-sufficient within the first three years of implementation, ensuring the sustainability of the project's outcomes. In total, the project is generating 22 new jobs.
