Youthwise 2025/2026

The TUI Care Foundation is supporting the OECD’s Youthwise initiative for a second year, bringing youth perspectives and ideas to the OECD and improving youth understanding of the Organisation’s work and international policy making.

Youthwise offers young people the chance to take part in closed-door meetings and consultations and engage with OECD experts, members of the TUI Care Foundation team and other external stakeholders on a range of issues and themes.

The OECD created Youthwise in 2021 and has been partnering with the TUI Care Foundation since 2023, to recognise the role of young people in shaping the future of policymaking and to create a platform for them to bring their perspectives, insights and ideas to the international organisation.

Through interactive physical, virtual, and hybrid workshops which are supported by the TUI Care Foundation, the participants gain a greater understanding of key policy issues affecting young people. Youthwise officially launches discussions that lead to recommendations for the OECD’s Ministerial Council Meeting and the creation and co-authoring of documents, articles and videos for young people to share their views.

The key topics for the first cohort supported by the TUI Care Foundation in 2023/2024 were school-to-work transition, climate resilience & transition to net-zero and youth policy, which included challenges such as skills and youth participation.

The Youthwise initiative is now in a new two-year cycle for 2025/2026. 16 young people aged 18 to 30 from around the world and all representing different OECD countries will use this platform to gather and voice policy recommendations targeting youth.

As part of Youthwise, members:

  • Attend an opening workshop at the OECD’s headquarters in Paris, as well as a consultation event in Berlin hosted by the TUI Care Foundation and a hybrid event in the Latin America region
  • Bring their generation's perspectives, insights, and ideas to the OECD
  • Gain a greater understanding of key policy issues that affect their generation
  • Take part in closed-door meetings and consultations, engaging on a range of topics and themes, with OECD experts and external stakeholders
  • Speak at events, on panels and participate in webinars on behalf of Youthwise
  • Create and (co-)author documents, articles and videos to share Youthwise views
  • Join interactive workshops with other youth organisations such as the Y20, meeting youth leaders from around the world
  • Network and gain a better understanding of how international policy-making functions
