Another 56 young people have just graduated from the TUI Academy Dominican Republic – our seventh graduating class!
In partnership with Plan International, the TUI Academy Dominican Republic provides vital education and training to young people and helps them access jobs in the tourism sector. It focuses on promoting social, economic and personal empowerment to vulnerable young people – especially women - and has now successfully trained over 250 students in the hospitality skills they need to work in the islands hotels and resorts.
The graduates, who are aged 17 to 24, have all completed classroom training and vocational internships at the Blue Diamond Resort Hotel. Now they’ve graduated, they’ll be able to find jobs in their chosen area of expertise – as hotel receptionists, administrators, bartenders, housekeepers or kitchen assistants.
We wish them all the very best of luck as they embark on their careers in the tourism industry!
