In a busy street near Marrakech’s Medina, the TUI Care Foundation’s partner, Pikala, uses pedal power to offer something a little different to tourists -  unforgettable, environmentally friendly cycle tours, which bring a completely different perspective to sightseeing in the city. And every tour starts at Pikala’s vibrant community hub, where jobs are created for young people to become bicycle tour guides and mechanics, with half of all jobs going to women.

The project is part of the TUI Care Foundation’s TUI Futureshapers programme, which supports sustainable businesses and organisations like Pikala and empowers them to turn social challenges into entrepreneurial opportunities. 

Now, after six successful years of partnership, the TUI Care Foundation is proud to announce that Pikala has expanded to Agadir, where it’s opened a new hub and introduced two new bicycle tours! And its positive social impact will continue there with training programmes for young people - especially women - in mechanics, tour guiding and business management.
