Support for children affected by Australian Bushfires

We’ve all seen the devastation sweeping across Australia recently, with more than 25 people and over one billion animals now thought to have lost their lives as the fires span more than 20 million acres of land. Homes and communities have been destroyed and, heartbreakingly, life will never be the same for so many people.

As part of the TUI Future Fund, the TUI Care Foundation supports UNICEF to offer emergency relief for the most vulnerable children and young people in need when a disaster strikes in destinations worldwide. So, between now and the end of the month, the TUI Care Foundation will put all its fundraising efforts and support network to help those in need in this devastating days for the Australian people.

The money collected will provide emergency support for children in Australia returning to school after losing their homes, helping them return to a normal life as quickly as possible.

It will also support the children and young people affected by fire and drought, to help their voices be heard as part of trauma recovery and future planning in order to reduce the impact of these terrible disasters.

We all continue to see heart-breaking scenes from Australia, with stories of people volunteering their support – in whatever way they can – to help those affected by the on-going turmoil. The TUI Care Foundation is delighted to be working together with UNICEF to offer some relief to those in need, by sending donations from around the world and bringing people together to build a support network for those who have lost everything. Donors have been quick to get behind the cause and it's great to see how powerful our community can be when we come together.

You may also support our work and help the children affected in Australia by donating through our website. The TUI Care Foundation has pledged that any donations received, between now and the end of January, will go directly to UNICEF’s emergency relief fund. So, if you’re looking for a way to help, please click here or on the green "donate" button on top.

We’re so pleased to be able to support the relief efforts and hope that this contribution goes some way towards rebuilding the communities that have been so greatly affected by this on-going crisis.
